visit owners websiteâOvercliff. Sleeps 10. Large and comfortable house in an attractive garden approximately 100 yards from a great beach for surfing and sandcastles, access to which is either by road or a short walk - no need to use the car unless you want to.
Porthcothan Bay is a very special place, with a sandy beach full of character which is good for sand castles, swimming and surfing. The residents of Porthcothan Bay have joined together to purchase the Sand Dunes in order to preserve its unique and unspoilt character. There is spectacular walking in either direction from the beach along the coastal path with the rock islands of Trescore lying a short way off the coast in the Bedruthann Steps direction.
Inside the house there is a good sized Kitchen, with electric cooker, 2 refrigerators (one large and one small), Dishwasher and microwave . The kitchen opens onto a Dining Room. This in turn leads to the large Drawing Room (with Log Burner colour TV and video and DVD, pay phone and radio/CD/cassette player) which is adjoined on the south by an excellent Conservatory with beautiful views of the valley. Further, on the ground floor there is an Boiler/Airing Room with washing machine and spin dryer; a Bathroom with lavatory; a Shower Room with lavatory and electric shower and shaver point. There is a small Bedroom with basin and two children's (2 ft 6) bunk beds and one modern cot is provided with mattress. Also there is a larger Bedroom with a five foot wide Sleigh bed and a wash hand basin.
Upstairs, there is a main Bedroom with basin, one 5ft wide double brass and iron bed and a single bed. There is a smaller Bedroom with two single beds and there is another smaller Bedroom with two single beds. There is a further room which is reserved to the owners and is locked.
Whilst the house is capable of taking 10 persons it is quite delightful for and very easily managed by a couple.
Excellent golf course and social club at Trevose is just down the road. Padstow is close by with the now famous Steins Seafood Restaurant and Takeaway Delicatessen. There is also Jamie Oliverâs 15 Cornwall Restaurant at Watergate Bay. There are many other excellent cafes and restaurants of differing prices.â
