Bannerrigg is part of The Terrace, Windermere - a unique row of Three 4 star, grade II listed large holiday homes located in the heart of Windermere village, yet conveniently secluded from the hustle of the town in private grounds. Designed by AWN Pugin (perhaps more famous for designing the Palace of Westminster) these house are beautifully kept and as a result were awarded 'best contribution to the visual appearance to Windermere village' in 2008.

The rooms in Bannerrigg are significantly bigger than in our other properties. This has allowed us to create 2 family rooms each sleeping 4 people. Which makes Bannerrigg the perfect group family home. The kids especially love bedroom number 4 which has 4 single beds, a large TV and Sony Playstation2, it's situated on the top floor so they can disappear into there own space away from the adults

The large farmhouse style kitchen was newly fitted in 2007, it features a cosy gas-fired AGA, granite work-surfaces, microwave, American fridge freezer with icemaker and an 8 seat farmhouse style dining table - great for those full-cooked Lake District breakfasts.

The lounge has sumptuous leather sofas and chairs and comfortably seats 16 people around it's imposing open fire. The room also has a large flat screen TV, Sony Playstation2/DVD player with a small selection of PS2 games and a collection of DVDs. For the musical in your group there's a pianola, which doubles up as a piano for those sing-songs.

The dining room is flooded with natural light from its 2 large stone mullioned windows. Furnished with a huge table with 14 cushioned seats (if you have friends staying at one of our other houses up to 22 can sit comfortably around the table) and a quality hifi with ipod dock.

The bedrooms are all large. Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom and has an ensuite shower and toilet. Bedroom 2 is the family room with a king-size bed, 2 day beds which double as settees,. Bedroom 3 has a king-size bed, 2 comfortable armchairs. There is a large bathroom on this floor. On the second floor there's a shower room. Bedroom 4 has 4 single beds. Bedroom 5 is a double. All the bedrooms have TVs and ipod alarms.

Outside, the house has two main garden areas: To the front there's a lawned area. To the rear there's large raised patio with large teak table and chairs plus 2 teak sunloungers. The garden also has an 8 seat hot tub in it's own stone built building. Fantastic to relieve those aching muscles after a walk

To front of the property there is parking for up to 7 cars (although to achieve this you'll have to park each other in).

Bannerrigg is the perfect place for a group of families with up to 14 people or 12 friends to have a superb weekend break in the Lake District.
