email the ownerOakland Hall is a boutique cottage in the lake district. Once the grand hall of one of Windermere's first gentlemen's residences this stunning property has been fully restored.
The house is packed full of stunning features - an eclectic mix of contemporary meets traditional Lake District. The icing on the cake is the amazing views across Windermere to the Langdale valley beyond.
Downstairs: The imposing dining room is two storeys high, has an Arts and Crafts fireplace with a wood-burning stove at its heart and a huge dining table, which seats 12. The lounge is a majestic room, again with an Arts and Crafts fireplace and woodburning stove. The room has seating galore, designer sofas and window seats with incredible views. The kitchen has glossy flint grey units topped with nero granite work-surfaces. Every appliance you'll need is present including an American fridge-freezer with ice maker.The kitchens concertina folding oak doors open onto a wonderful breakfast patio. There are two patios ensuring you make the most of the sun every moment of the day. At the front of the house there's parking for a whole fleet of cars. The rear garden is very safe for small kids being totally enclosed.
Upstairs; On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms all with ensuite shower rooms with pressurised hot water delivered through dinner-plate shower-heads to ensure a brilliant dowsing. Bedroom 1 is a king-size with amazing views of Windermere and the Langdale Valley. Bedroom 2 is a twin again with amazing views with a window seat to watch them through. Bedroom 3. has a double bed quirkily nestled into an alcove.
On the second floor there is an attic bedroom with four solid ash single beds. The room has a small walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom again with a pressurised shower over the bath.
There are a number of fantastic walks from the house, including a 10minute classic to the top of Orrest Head and a delightful pathway down to Windermere, which takes 10 to 15 minutes.

3 night weekend break Friday 4pm until Monday 10am £1200available throughout the year except school holidays.
4 night midweek break £750 available throughout the year except school holidays.
Individual weeks from £1220 priced separately.
