Peak Retreat is of contemporary design giving light and airy accommodation on two floors with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms - it is certainly not your average small and often dark cottage. Light and spacious, private parking and with amazing views the property sleeps 9 comfortably.
The large modern steel/granite/beech kitchen is well equipped for larger scale catering and has a big table with 9 chairs making for convivial meal times with family and friends.
Alternatively eat in the village leaving behind the car - the choice is yours
The house has cottage style gardens and green fields both front and back. A covered entrance terrace is handy for sitting and outside smoking. (We operate both a no smoking and no pets policy inside the house to keep it fresh and allergy free)
In a peaceful setting at the top of a dead end lane the house is only 5 minutes walk into Hayfield, which offers many amenities. The centre of the village is a quaint English cricket pitch with pavilion that sports matches most weekends throughout the season. Stone built cottages jumble around it and there are a total of nine traditional style pubs all within easy walking distance. Most of them serve food along with the two restaurants and a good old-fashioned fish and chip shop on the main street.
Wedding parties, group get togethers, small family gatherings, study parties, weekends in the country, time to unwind. If you want a rural setting but not totally isolated, Peak Retreat has been designed with you in mind.
There are plenty of reasons to visit both properties - fantastic countryside, endless walks, road cycling, mountain biking, rock climbing, tennis, golf - most outdoor activities can be found in the Peak District National Park which also has plenty of attractions and places to visit. Chatsworth House, Spa town Buxton, Castleton with its Blue John Caverns, local village tea shops in Eyam, Tideswell, Bakewell and Hathersage.
