Lots of space for 10 people in Little Barton Farmhouse and 6 people in the Cottage in light, airy rooms. The farmhouse has a big table which seats up to 16 comfortably with a simple farmhouse kitchen, equipped to cater for larger groups. Outside school holidays, dates can be flexible and it is fine to book for a couple of days or a weekend. (The houses can also be booked separately). Both houses have full central heating as well as wood burners, and the open fire in the farmhouse â so are welcoming all year round.

The space has been used for weddings, celebrations and reunions, as well as workshops: teambuilding, yoga etc. - plans to have writerâs retreats and eco building courses here in the future. There is also some additional space, which can be adapted to suit lots of different purposes, and room for tipis or yurts in the field. Lots of different catering options available, including hog roasts and organic Thai. The barn works well for all sorts of dancing and there are several really good local bands offering a wide range of music. Please ask.

Little Barton Farmhouse and Cottage give you magnificent views of the Atlantic to the west and Lundy and the Bristol Channel to the north - you can hear the roar of the sea at high tide from the gardens. This is really rural, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, down a flower bordered green lane access track. Spectacular walks from the house, only 10 mins to the Coast Path â half an hour from the house down to the waterâs edge or, in the other direction, to Hartland village â dogs welcome.

There is plenty to do for all ages, with beautiful local beaches and excellent surfing, as well as fantastic tea rooms, houses and gardens to look at and general family entertainment nearby. Both houses have big lawned gardens, badminton, lots of DVDs, books, board games and there is a tuned piano in the farmhouse. Bude nightlife is only 30 mins away by car.

Little Barton is run on broadly organic principles and has its own water supply and clean water sewage system. âWell raisedâ seasonal veg. is available locally and thereâs a farmersâ market on the first Sunday of the month â lots of delicious food including excellent cheeses and organic meat.
