The Lodge is the perfect location. It is 8 minutes from Dorchester which has all the museums: Dorset County, Dinosaur and Teddy Bear museum, the Tutankhmun and Terracotta Warrior museum, The Military Keep, Maiden Castle with wonderful walks all around it. The beach is 15 minutes drive - Weymouth being a classic Victorian seaside town. The Cerne Abbas Giant is great to climb also.
