The house has a facinating history and has many period feature including beamed ceilings flagstone floors and an inglenook fireplace. The house has a most beautiful location 950ft above sea level with stunning views. The area is perfect for walkers, ramblers and bird watching with a number of nature reserves within 10 miles of the property. Other activities include fishing, golf, pony trekking, swimming all within 4 miles of the property. Stable Court offers something for everyone in the family. The accommodation offers comfort and cosy Lounge and Dining Room both with Log fires and there is a spacious Kitchen with Dining area and fitted modern kitchen with all appliances along with an Aga cooker offering the warmth and cosy welcome on your days return.
The Accommodation sleeps up to 8 people in three en-suite rooms. On the first floor there is a twin room with en-suite shower room. On the First Floor there is the 'Teesdale Room' which boasts a Four-Poster bed fully restored formerly from the home of Miss Hannah Hauxwell with en-suite Shower Room. Separate W. C. servicing the upstairs Lounge and Family Bedroom with has an Antique King Size Brass Bedstead and Single Bed with another stacker bed to accommodate the 8th person. To this family room is an en-suite luxury white bathroom suite.
The property has recently been awarded Mobility 1 status with limited access for wheelchairs. There is a downstairs bedroom and ensuite shower room with level access to the dining/living area. There is one small step up to the kitchen.
The accommodation is fully oil fired centrally heated and there is a utility room, Rear Porch and lockable shed to house both muddy boot, bicycles and room to dry any wet garments from your rambles.
