Set in the glorious countryside, on the fringe of the beautiful village of Burwash made famous by Rudyard Kipling and his national trust home "Batemans" is the Coach House . Dating from 1852 the property has been lovingly converted and restored, and retaining many of its original features. it is light and airy, comfortable and homely. .Situated in a lovely rural spot with gorgeous views over the surrounding countryside, yet it is within a 5 minute walk of the local village where you wiill find pubs, organic butchers, a post office and a general store. With so many places to visit,to suit every age and taste, along with the NEWLY RENOVATED SWIMMING POOL you will have no trouble filling your days.

The cottage is very well equipped,and comfortable.

The accommodation consists of a ground floor KITCHEN with tiled floor, range cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Here, there is also a seating area for all those chit chats whilst cooking. From the kitchen there are steps leading into the enclosed garden, .which is also accessed via a path for the less abled

The LIVING ROOM and DINING ROOM both feature oak flooring. The living room also has a wood burning stove, television/dvd with lots of films, family games and reading materials. The dining room has an oak table and chairs which easily seats 12 guests. There is also a ground floor cloakroom.

Three of the double bedrooms are also to be found on the ground floor. All have wooden flooring and french doors leading into the garden.All have exposed beams and high ceilings . One has an ensuite shower room and for the others there is a family bathroom with roll top bath, which is also located on the ground floor

At the top of the oak staircase are an additional two bedrooms, each with three single beds and here there is a further family bathroom with bath and separate shower.

Outside in the private garden there is a seperate enclosed patio area with a huge vine which produces a vast crop of delicious grapes, here there is a superb oak table with benches overlooking the SWIMMING POOL (open mid May to September shared with owner). There is also a fully equipped play area for children with swingset./slide and small climber, (age 10 and under) enclosed trampoline and football goals.
In the garage is a shared games room with table tennis, ice hockey and bar football.

The Coach House is perfectly located for many National Trust properties and beautiful gardens to visit such as Batemans, Chartwell, Lewes Castle, Nymans, Wakehurst Place and Sheffied Park.

For those in search of more physical excitement, nearby is Arena Pursuits for team building , 4x4 off roading, Archery, Boot Camps, Survival Days, paintballing etc. Bewl water is fabulous for cycling and boating. For a less strenuous form of entertainment there is lots of horseriding nearby and many golf courses including the East Sussex National all within 25 minutes. For the children there is the famous Drusillas park, a must for all youngsters.

For the perfect pamper day or soothing day of swimming or massage, Knowle Grange is 15 mins away. For a special occasion , we can arrange a private chef who will do all the hard work even the washing up.t Please ask for rates.

All bedlinen is included, but please bring your own towels property sleeps 12 sleeping in beds but can accomodate 2 EXTRA on a z bedS (extra charge will apply) this must be arranged at time of booking. Please note that the lounge cannot seat 14, however there is an additional sofa area. The Dining table seats 14.
