Chateau Du Puits Es Pratx offers holiday accommodation for small or large groups, either self-catering and/or B&B, on a very special, ancient wine Chateau in the sunny Languedoc region of Southern France. There are 4 beautifully renovated cottages and a ground floor apartment that sleeps 22-25 plus 5 rooms within the Chateau that in total can sleep 14 that can be used by larger groups requiring additional self-catering accommodation or for smaller groups wanting B&B. Facilities include an outdoor heated pool and sun-deck plus a fitness room. This is the perfect holiday location for large groups of 14-36 looking for an exclusive holiday. Situated in the middle of stunning countryside and yet only 25 minutes from the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean.

What sets this location apart from others is it's unique character and relaxed charm. Amidst 6 acres of private peaceful gardens and small vineyard, most of the accommodation encompasses the enclosed, tree-lined courtyard with an old fountain, where groups can dine together under the stars. Each of the properties have a private patio & BBQ so that individual families can enjoy their owns space if required, whilst the gardens, heated pool and courtyard provide more communal areas for group relaxation and dining.

In addition the Chateau has its own Restaurant called Les Pratx where self-catering groups can enjoy the occasional night off or, for groups that like to be catered for, full or half-board catering can easily be provided. Guests can also enjoy weekend concerts that are arranged throughout the summer months in the courtyard and there is also a fitness room and beauty treatments can be arranged for those seeking total relaxation. There is also plenty to keep children occupied with table tennis, a trampoline, basket-ball & badminton. All the properties have TV's & Wi-Fi & DVD access.

As well as this range of facilities the hosts also provide a very relaxed home from home from home atmosphere that is ideal for large family groups seeking exclusivity and safety.

The Village and Surrounding Area
The Chateau estate is situated at the edge of a quiet little village called Ginestas that has a general store, post office, bank, boulangerie, restaurant, bar-brasserie, hair-dresser and the ubiquitous poodle parlour. Situated in a stunningly beautiful and relatively undiscovered part of Southern France, it is surrounded by vineyards and is only 5 minutes from the World Heritage site Canal du Midi. It is 15 minutes from the bustling City of Narbonne and 40 mins from Carcassonne. The long sandy beaches of the Mediterranean are only 25 mins away, and in the North are the spectacular mountains, forests & gorges called Le Parc Naturel Du Haut Languedoc. It is only an hour and a half from the Spanish border and 2.5 hours drive to Barcelona.

Activities
Tailor-made Creative Courses such as Cooking, Photography and Painting can be arranged at the Domaine along with Wine-Tours to regional Vignerons to sample their wines and experience the Renaissance that has made this wine region the most exciting in France. There is horse riding or trekking nearby, Tennis, Golf and canal boat trips on the Canal Du Midi. Fully serviced bicycles can be rented nearby, there's walking at all levels and good golf courses at Carcassonne, Bezieres & Agde. There is canoeing & kayaking 40 minutes away that can be arranged for you or White Water Rafting in the Pyrenees 90 minutes away.
