visit owners websiteThese two completely separate but neighbouring properties can be hired together or individually. Each stands within its own large private, enclosed garden with plenty of parking space, half a mile or more up a well maintained and stoned farm track, away from any traffic noise and surrounded by fields, wildlife and farm animals.
Located at the heart of 130 acres of private nature reserve with waymarked trails, hides, activity, rest and information points ââ¬â Gold Award from the Devon Wildlife Trust for 5 years running.
Bude and the wonderful surf beaches of the North Cornwall coast are only 20 mins drive away, while Dartmoor, Bodmin and Raodford lake watersports are all within easy driving distance (15 mins to half hour).
The Stone Barn sleeps up to 10 (+2) in 5 bedrooms ââ¬â 3 kingsize rooms (2 of which have ensuite shower/wc and 1 of which has a sofabed for plus 2), 2 further twin rooms, a bathroom with feature bath, another walk in shower room with wc (so not waiting for the bathroom) a boot/utility room, spacious open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room arranged around a huge stone fireplace with double sided log burner. All beds have pocket sprung mattresses and luxury organic bedlinen provided. This is a seriously ââ¬Ëgreenââ¬â¢ property with triple thermal insulation, ground source heat pump for underfloor central heating, solar panels (with winter back up), rainwater harvesting system, all A or A+ electrical appliances and a wind turbine application in the process of planning.
South Beer Farmhouse sleeps up to 8 (+2) in 4 bedrooms ââ¬â 2 doubles and 2 twin rooms, an upstairs bathroom with over bath shower and wc, downstairs shower/laundry/wc (used to be the dairy), separate kitchen, dining room and 2 sitting rooms (2nd sitting room has quality sprung mattress sofabed for plus 2). All beds have quality orthopedic mattresses, eco pillows, and bedlinen provided (gradually being replaced by luxury organic). Modern oil fired central heating (regularly serviced and maintained) throughout, solar panels fitted November 2008.
Recycling facilities are provided for both properties.
Towels are available to hire if required.

Pets are welcome at both properties up to a max of 2 dogs in the barn or 3 small dogs at the Farmhouse. There is an additional charge of ã20 per pet. Please discuss pets with owners. Dog beds, bowls and towels are provided, There is a kennel and run at the Stone Barn and dogs can be left in the owners kennel and run nearby for guests at the Farmhouse.
Smoking is not permitted in the Stone Barn. Not suitable for stag parties.
