The Old Station House is an old Victorian railway station situated in the village of Llynclys on the outskirts of Oswestry in the lovely county of Shropshire.
This unusual property was once owned by the Cambrian Railway company and has been restored to the highest standards making it a comfortable and modern hideaway in which to enjoy your holiday.
Built in 1861 along what was the Oswestry to Welshpool line and subsequently closed in 1965 during the 'beeching cuts' - when the station master bought the property, it is a lovely example of Victorian building. The Cambrian Herritage Railway currently terminates on the other side of the road bridge at one end of the garden.
Accommodation
The downstairs accommodation consists of a hallway, living room, dining room, kitchen, conservatory, day room and the fourth bedroom.
Upstairs there is a split landing and at the half landing there is an entrance to the bathroom, whilst further up you will find the first three bedrooms.
Outside
The old platform now makes up the front garden and the old rail lines were filled in to produce a lawn for the property.
