email the ownerHall Barn is situated in the heart of Constable country, just outside the picturesque village of Long Melford and close to timber-framed Lavenham. Sleeping ten comfortably, this recently converted, characterful property offers comfortable, quality accommodation in a quiet and beautiful setting. Sited in the peaceful surroundings of the Kentwell Estate, half a mile from the nearest road, it is perfectly placed to explore Suffolk's footpaths or visit the historic towns of Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury and Cambridge.
The huge property has five bedrooms, four bathrooms, two large living areas, a big dining room, two snug/play areas and a huge garden. As the house can also be separated in two, it offers the possibility of privacy within a large group. With timber frame beams, nooks and crannies and antique furniture it is a charming place to relax and have fun.
Hall Barn's huge sitting room comes complete with working wood burning stove (we'll give you a starter basket of logs for when you arrive), games and books. From here you can go directly into the large garden overlooking fields of doe-eyed cattle. There is a second large, light sitting area in The Annexe. The sitting room leads on to a charming oak dining area and traditional sit-in kitchen. There is a smaller, equally well-equipped kitchen in the Annexe.
Upstairs you'll find the Snug area with TV and DVD player, which also has a safety balustrade for keeping small children in place. All the bedrooms have their own character, two are ensuite and there are two family bathrooms, both with bath and shower. All but one of the bedrooms can be laid out as either twin or double rooms. Cots are available on request.
Free tickets to Kentwell Hall, farm and gardens are included in the price (during house opening periods) plus discounts to any special events over the period of your stay. A welcome basket, including Kentwell seasonal produce when it is available, will be awaiting your arrival.

PRICE INFORMATION:
Property can be let as one or two units. Prices range from £1050 to £2500 per week for the whole property; £750 to £1650 for the main Barn and £450 to £900 for the Extension. Weekly lets are from Friday afternoon to Friday morning. You can also book just for a weekend (Friday afternoon to Monday morning) or midweek (Monday afternoon to Friday morning) at reduced rates.Start Days - Friday and Monday
